Introducing – The New Brellum Pandial LE.4 DD Emerald Green Chronometer (Live Pics & Price)

Brellum is a brand apart… An independent company run by Sebastien Muller, it only sells watches directly to customers, caps its production to 299 pieces a year, and only makes mechanical and COSC-certified watches. However, it’s not about ultra-high-end indie timepieces but pilot and racing chronographs. Offering great value for money and impeccable execution, it has developed a sizeable collection, including the cool motorsport-inspired Brellum Pandial. And it now returns in a new, limited run of 23 Emerald Green watches.

The new Brellum Pandial LE.4 DD Emerald Green is, as indicated by its name, the fourth limited edition based on the classic Pandial Duobox watch that we reviewed here. It follows the Blue Panda LE.1, the Black-and-White LE.2, and the Black DLC-Coated LE.3. Except for the colour scheme, it uses the same classic racing chronograph recipe with a cool design and a healthy dose of features.

The stainless steel case is large; it measures 43mm across and is 15.90mm thick- something you can expect with an automatic Valjoux inside. However, not everything is dramatic, as the Pandial relies on the brand’s clever Duobox construction, which includes two box-shaped sapphire crystals, even on the back. Not only does it make the watch very pleasant on the wrist, but it also absorbs most of the height since the case, without crystals, is 11.70mm thick.

Compared to other brand models, the Brellum Pandial differs thanks to its external bezel. Fixed and equipped with an aluminium insert, it features a tachymeter scale, giving it a racing vibe. The rest of the watch is classic, in a good way, with large mushroom-style pushers, a wide dial opening benefiting legibility, and a very decent 100m water-resistance – always appreciated on a chronograph. The case is nicely finished, with alternating brushed surfaces and polished accents. And yes, it is a large watch, but one that wears quite comfortably.

Compared to the previous editions, this new Pandial is green. The colour can be found on the bezel’s insert as well as on the dial – on the inner minute flange, on the seconds track, on the markers, the hands and the sub-counters. The base of the dial remains matte white, which provides excellent contrast with the dark emerald green accents. This edition is also equipped with a day-date feature and the otherwise classic 6-9-12 layout of the venerable 7750 engine.

Talking about the movement, here it is presented in a top-tier execution. Not only is the decoration pleasant, with perlage, Geneva stripes, blue screws and Brellum’s gold-coated rotor, but it’s also a chronometer-certified movement by the COSC. Besides that, it has all the classic features of a 7750, including the cam-lever operation of the chrono and a 46h power reserve.

This Brellum Pandial LE.4 DD Emerald Green Chronometer is delivered with a stainless steel bracelet and a green leather strap, equipped with their own folding clasp and tools to swap. Limited to 23 pieces, this new edition is available directly from the brand at and retails (incl. taxes and shipping worldwide) for CHF 2,990EUR 3,390 or USD 3,120.
