Introducing – The Carl F. Bucherer Heritage BiCompax Annual Bucherer BLUE

introducing-–-the-carl-f.-bucherer-heritage-bicompax-annual-bucherer-blue

Bucherer, the world’s largest watch retailer, is known for its ever-expanding collection of special edition models named Bucherer BLUE. Already comprising an array of rather attractive models, this year the retailer adds several new models to its in-house collection, including a watch that comes from a brand that couldn’t be more natural, being part of the same group. A bold and colourful take on a cool annual calendar chronograph, meet the new Carl F. Bucherer Heritage BiCompax Annual Bucherer BLUE.

As indicated by its name, the Bucherer BLUE collection is all about adding the retailer’s signature colour to existing models, thus creating exclusive editions that are only available from the group’s boutiques. This new Bucherer BLUE take on the desirable Carl F. Bucherer Heritage BiCompax Annual is no expectation to the rule, with a brand new dial that is, without doubt, the most polarizing of the collection, which already includes a panda version, a golden model and recently a reversed panda ‘orca’ edition.

The dial of the Carl F. Bucherer Heritage BiCompax Annual Bucherer BLUE is showing a strong dégradé effect, ranging from almost white in the centre to a vivid deep blue on the periphery. Contrasting with this colour scheme, the two sub-counters are black coloured and the syringe-style, as well as the 12 and 6 indexes are coloured in the same way. Same goes for the large date window at 12 o’clock and the month aperture between 4 and 5 o’clock. Providing a cool attire, this limited edition watch is worn on a black perforated leather strap with blue stitchings.

Other than this colourful evolution, we find back the same specifications as previous editions of this Heritage BiCompax watch. It means a steel case with vintage design measuring 41mm in diameter and 14.05mm in height, brushed surfaces and polished accents, rectangular pushers and a domed sapphire crystal. The see-through back reveals the calibre CFB 1972, a modified base ETA 2894 with annual calendar module and chronograph function.
