British brand Christopher Ward has been on a roll in 2020. The brand has come up with some amazing value-oriented watches in quick succession that include the C60 Sapphire, the C65 Supercompressor, and the most recently released vintage-inspired C65 bi-compax chronograph. Now Christopher Ward is back with a cool new variation of the C60 Sapphire created in collaboration with the Blue Marine Foundation, a charitable organization that works actively to protect the ocean waters.

The C60 Sapphire is an exciting dive watch that offers the wearer a stunning level of transparency. The new C60 BLUE makes things a little more interesting by bringing in a unique wave pattern inspired by the logo of the Blue Marine Foundation. The blue waves have been presented in a dark shade of blue, that does not stand out too much and goes well with the marine theme of the watch. And while the pattern does add visual interest, it does hamper the transparency a little. The layout of the dial does not see any changes and remains clean and highly legible. Applied faceted markers filled with luminous paint comprise the hour index, the minute track has been printed in white, and there is a neat looking date window at 3 that balances the Christopher Ward logo at 9. The sword-shaped hour and minute hands are well proportioned and filled with generous lume, and the lollipop style seconds hand with the trident counterbalance has been painted in a vivid sky-blue shade to add some vibrancy to the dial.

The stainless-steel light catcher case on the C60 Blue is modestly sized for a modern dive watch. It measures 40mm in diameter, is 12.9mm thick, and has a lug to lug distance of around 48mm that should make it sit comfortably on a wide variety of wrists. The case is water-resistant to 600 meters, which is taken care of using the threaded crown at 3, and a closed case back that features a deeply stamped logo of the Blue Marine Foundation. On top of the case is a uni-directional dive-time bezel with a blue ceramic insert. Interestingly, the first fifteen minutes of the scale, along with the pip at 12, have been given vibrant light blue highlights to bring a pop of color.

Inside this watch ticks the trustworthy Sellita SW200-1 movement. It operates at a frequency of 4Hz and provides an autonomy of around 38 hours.
