Zenith revived its A384 reference last year to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the iconic El-Primero chronograph movement. Since then, the brand has been releasing intriguing variations of the A384 and the latest one to join the A384 family is the Chronomaster Revival Liberty. This new limited-edition watch features a stunning gradient blue dial with red and white accents designed exclusively for the North American region.

Right off the bat, it is the vibrant blue dial on this watch that steals the show. Starting with a light blue tone at the center and gradually culminating into an inky bluish-black shade on the outer periphery, the dial showcases several different hues of blue, creating a visually enticing landscape. Furthermore, the blue background provides the perfect backdrop for the white sub-registers at 3, 6 and 9. The polished lume filled hour markers along with the hour and minute hands provide an additional layer of contrast. The chronograph hand has been presented in red and white, which, combined with the blue base, echo the colors of the American flag. Interestingly, even the numerals on the date wheel have been printed in red.

The case on Chronomaster Revival Liberty is made from stainless steel. It measures 37mm in diameter and has a thickness of just 12.60mm, which is quite impressive for a watch with an integrated chronograph movement. The case still maintains its tonneau style design and features radial brushing on the front, polished bevels on the sides, and sporty pump-style pushers for the chronograph functions. There are sapphire crystals on both the front as well as the back, and the case is water-resistant to 50 meters.

The power train behind this new watch is the El-Primero calibre 400, an automatic column wheel-based chronograph movement. The movement operates at a frequency of 5Hz and can run for around 59 hours when fully wound. It can be seen in action through the exhibition case back

The new Chronomaster Revival Liberty would be accompanied by a matching blue strap with red stitching and would be limited to just 150 pieces. The watch will retail for USD 8,700 and would be available to purchase on Zenith’s American online boutique.
